Lanzarote has a great deal to offer!
Hardly any other island offers as many natural wonders over such a relatively small space! Hence Lanzarote was designated a Biosphere Reserve in 1993 and added to UNESCO's list of the protected biospheres.
Lanzarote's nature inspired artist César Manrique to create architectural masterpieces. He set himself the task of harmoniously blending art and nature. By his death (in 1992), he had created seven nature and cultural centres, which are an absolute must for all visitors to Lanzarote.
A real bonus for Lotus del Mar guests: most of the Manrique centres are located close by!
